The Office of Information Technology

Standard Operating Environment (SOE)

The Antioch University’s Standard Operating Environment (SOE) defines the software/hardware architecture used on University workstations. SOE currently exist for Microsoft Windows and Macs. The use of an SOE allows for a more consistent and reliable user experience and better communication between users of the University IT infrastructure.   It also assists in reducing the total cost of ownership of the University's computer fleet, by making it more reliable and cheaper and easier to support, which leads to faster more efficient incident resolutions.

Windows

The Current staff Windows SOE is based on the Microsoft Windows XP Operating System, with Service Pack 3 installed.
