Endorsement in K-12 Library Media

School Library Media Endorsement

With an Antioch University endorsement in K-12 Library Media — a fully online program with synchronous weekly Zoom classes—you’ll become a school leader who engages with teachers, students, administration, and the community to establish a schoolwide culture of innovation and inspiration with equitable access to learning.

This endorsement is offered by Antioch University’s Seattle Campus.

Listen to alum Dr. Keely Nudo talk about the importance of school libraries.

Program Overview

Antioch University’s Endorsement in K-12 Library Media is a Washington state-approved, standards-based endorsement that can be added to an existing Washington state or reciprocal state teaching certificate.

The program consists of seven (7) graduate courses offered quarterly and can be completed in as little as one year (with summers) or at your own pace. Courses are completely online and are offered via Zoom and Antioch’s online learning platform. Field experiences and practicum are built into the curriculum through our courses. Assignments are designed to be practical and translate into practice in the library media center.

The Antioch University coursework seamlessly blends research and theory with best practices and practical experience in the school library while embedding the principles of leadership,  social justice, equity, and inclusion throughout the program.

The program is designed to build strong leaders who are ready and able to be practitioners in the field of school library and media.
