Program Overview
Antioch University’s MS in Allied Health, Healthcare Administration concentration is one of the only graduate programs focused on developing strong talent to take on managerial roles in the healthcare industry and transform healthcare through a lens of social justice. Whether you are just starting out or are currently employed as a clinician at a doctor’s office or work for customer care at a managed care organization, this highly focused graduate degree will prepare you to make profound impacts at your organization.

Antioch’s Masters of Science in Allied Health, Healthcare Administration concentration focuses heavily on people management, from patients and doctors to policymakers and human resource professionals at your organization. All students earning their Master of Science in Allied Health in Healthcare Administration must complete the “core” requirements (15 Total Hours):
- Allied Healthcare Administration
- Evidence-Based Practice
- Leadership & Advocacy in Policy and Healthcare
- Research Design
- Program Planning & Evaluation
In addition to the core requirements, students will complete:
Advanced Practice Content Courses – (6 hours)
- U.S. Healthcare Policy
- Ethical Healthcare Leadership
One Elective Course – (3 hours)
The elective course can be taken from any of the following programs with the approval of the Program Chair/advisor: MSAH, MBA, Education, MANM, or MHSA. Please consult your academic advisor for additional help in the selection of courses.
Completion of your degree is fulfilled by choosing to either complete a research thesis or take on a hands-on practicum project relevant to healthcare administration.

Describe your personal goals and how your experience relates to your pursuit of this degree - Two letters of recommendation (required), from people who are in a position to evaluate your professional (e.g., supervisor, colleague) or academic (e.g., faculty) work. The person making the recommendation cannot be related to you.

- Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities where you earned a degree or certificate. A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required. Official GRE scores can be submitted if the undergraduate GPA is below 3.0. You must have earned a four-year degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
