Abby Pasley earned her MA in English from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo; she also has a BA in English from UCSB. Her teaching interests include freshman composition, rhetoric, and modern poetry. Some of the courses she has taught at Antioch are Literary Theory for Social Change, Personal Journaling, Professional Writing, and Academic Writing. Additionally, Abby serves as the ELL specialist in AUSB’s Writing Center where she enjoys working with students from diverse backgrounds. Abby has also taught ESL, Adult Education classes, and composition at Santa Barbara City College. Abby is interested in the connection between writing and civic engagement and in helping students identify and develop their own interests while becoming confident writers.
