Ben is a licensed psychotherapist in private practice. He graduated from the Antioch MAP program and is a PhD candidate at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Ben is a relational therapist who combines psychodynamic concepts with narrative-based practices as well as systems theory in his approach. He believes in a holistic and non-linear view of life that endorses compassion, curiosity, and getting out of our comfort zones. He has a knack for connecting with creative and willful people who feel stuck, angry, misunderstood, or lost. He also has extensive experience working with addiction and those with family members who struggle with mental health and/or addiction.
Ben was raised in Los Angeles by Chilean parents and is fluent in both English and Spanish. Ben is also an accomplished musician. He performed on dozens of albums and spent years touring internationally, culminating with a Latin Grammy as the bass player and background vocalist for best pop/rock album, “Transformacion”, in 2013. When he is not working, he enjoys family, friends, and nature.
