As a practicing counselor and clinical supervisor, I see a growing need for highly educated and trained clinicians who are ethical, socially just, and culturally competent. Working directly with clients for many years has provided me with motivation to draw people into the field of counseling so that others can experience the magic of supporting someone in reaching their full potential. As a counselor educator, my teaching philosophy has developed out of a true passion for the art of human connection during the counseling process and the consideration of our unique differences as the key to growth and self-actualization. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to welcome students into the profession that I love so much and allow them the space to define and develop their own professional identities.
