Jenny Takeda is the District Librarian lead for seventeen elementary school libraries in the Beaverton School District in the suburbs of Portland, Oregon. After working as an elementary teacher-librarian, Jenny joined the Library Services leadership team in 2003. She, along with two other colleagues, provide leadership, professional development, support for library staff, collection development, and manage the library catalog and district library online subscription resources.
Jenny’s involvement in professional organizations includes being Secretary for the Oregon Association of School Libraries and Chair of the American Association of School Librarians’ Supervisors Section for 2022-23.
