The thing I love most about my job as a therapist is helping couples find better ways of communicating. Dysfunctional communication dynamics are so easy for people to fall into, and I love helping them find new ways of being vulnerable and expressing their underlying emotions and needs to each other. Working with couples in my private practice, I use an integrated approach incorporating my training in the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, The Developmental Model, and some of Esther Perel’s ideas.
In addition to my private practice and teaching at Antioch, I am a Wellness Clinician for USC’s Keck School of Medicine, providing therapy and support for residents who are training to become physicians. I am also the previous Clinical Director of the Southern California Counseling Center, where I led the transition to online therapy due to the pandemic.
I live in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles with my partner of 15 years; our two wild terrier mix pups, Dashiell and Daphne, and our old ornery grey cat, Dinah.
