Peter grew up in NYC and spent years as a NYC public school teacher. He is a graduate of Antioch’s ES program with an Environmental/Outdoor Education focus. He holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and is a certified mental health counselor. Peter’s journey includes different roles, from teacher and counselor to head of school, in various educational settings. He has helped many alternative learning environments and organizations around the world get started. One of his specialties is Individualized studies and Self-Design. Peter helps to run AERO -Alternative Education Resource Organization, an international organization focused on making learner-directed, learner-centered accessible to everyone. He provides mental health coaching/counseling services to teenagers and young adults. Peter serves as an Adjunct faculty at Southern NH University in the Doctor of Educational Leadership program.
