Job Description

  • The MFA Community Email Newsletter Editor creates a bi-monthly email newsletter to develop positive relationships and engagement with the Antioch MFA community—students, faculty, alumni, and other constituents.
  • Responsibilities:
  • Work with the MFA team to generate dynamic and engaging content for the bi-monthly
    community newsletter (10 hours)
  • Develop and maintain a strong MFA community network to actively seek out story ideas (2
    hours)
  • Create, edit, proofread and test the newsletter using email marketing software (Mailchimp)
    (6 hours)
  • Track and report the performance of each newsletter using email marketing software
    tracking tools and suggest and make improvements based on data (1 hour)
  • Update the list of subscribers and create subscription forms on email marketing software
    (1 hour)
  • Ensure emails follow industry policies and best practices

Qualifications

  • Professional writing and editing experience
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Able to manage two monthly email newsletter projects from start to finish
  • Able to work with other members of the MFA email newsletter team to communicate expectations, goals, deadlines, etc.
  • Attention to detail, especially in editing and proofing
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, email, Internet skills) and the ability to learn
    new technologies such as Mailchimp and Canva
