Location: On-site Columbus, Ohio – with some hybrid remote work

Compensation: Antioch University offers a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes both direct and indirect pay. The compensation will be based on experience, education, knowledge, credentials, and a consideration of the difficulty and complexity of the position. The typical hiring range for this position is: $75,000 to $80,000, including an additional stipend for administrative Director duties.

Position Overview

Antioch University seeks a student-centered faculty member with experience in and comfort with online teaching, clinical education oversight, and mentoring to serve as a full-time faculty member in its Master of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) Program. This position is in the Graduate School of Nursing and Health Professions and will report to the Master of Athletic Training Program Chair.

Administrative Director Faculty Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee MSAT student thesis projects
  • Development and oversight of Clinical Education Experiences
  • Student support and assessment
  • Curriculum development and accreditation compliance
  • Collaboration and communication
  • Administrative duties
  • Oversee all aspects of clinical education for students and comply with CAATE standards

Qualifications and Experience

The successful candidate should be qualified and experienced to teach MSAT program courses in the content of clinical practicum while managing clinical experiences and all facets of clinical education for the program. The successful candidate should be able to infuse health inequity throughout the curriculum and contribute to the Division’s and School’s commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging while helping students see health through a social justice lens.

Required Qualifications

  • Terminal Degree: A doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D.) in athletic training, a related health sciences field, or a relevant discipline.
  • Current or Eligibility of State of Ohio Licensure as a Certified Athletic Trainer
  • Teaching Experience: Proven experience teaching at the graduate level, preferably in an CAATE accredited athletic training program.
  • Clinical Experience: Demonstrated clinical experience in athletic training, including patient care, injury prevention, and rehabilitation within the last 5 years.
  • Professional Development: Ongoing commitment to professional development and staying current with advancements in the field of athletic training.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Coordinator of Clinical Education Experience: Experience within a CAATE accredited program as a coordinator of clinical education.
  • Accreditation Experience: Previous experience with CAATE accredited and site visits
  • Research Experience: Experience conducting research or scholarly activities related to athletic training. Evidence of an established research agenda that students can participate in for their thesis projects.
  • Online Teaching Experience: Proficiency in online teaching methods and technologies over a variety of athletic training topics.
  • Mentorship Experience: Experience mentoring students


Hours of Employment

This is a full-time, exempt, faculty position serving a national university which operates in multiple time zones. A work schedule will be established in consultation with the supervisor.

On-site and in-person work in Columbus, Ohio with some hybrid remote work
