Job Description
Assistants are needed to help with ongoing research on the structure and composition of bird nests, from western Massachusetts and from the White Mountains in New Hampshire. The research is part of larger projects with collaborators at the USFS and UMass. Assistants will measure, deconstruct, and weigh bird nests of various species (8 hrs/week). Data will then be entered in excel (1 hr/week).
Qualifications
- Interest in research that focuses on bird nests, citizen science, and urbanization
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to use Excel/Google Sheets
- Excellent data management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Federal work study funds
