Number of Positions: 2 – the amount of student feedback and coding review needed is too much for one person. Assessment is a large class with a great deal of work requiring feedback.

This position allows for remote work Yes/No: Yes

Percentage of time that could be remote (0-100%): Variable, but likely 90-100% – meet with students to answer questions about coding, review coding work for mistakes, edit reports and give feedback, track student participation in office hours.

Method to assess remote work: Looking for thorough review of documents with helpful feedback on coding and writing – candidate will clearly mark identified mistakes using answer keys and catch errors and offer feedback in reports.

Job Description

  • TA for PY8340 Advanced Seminar – Psych Testing and Evaluation Children/Adolescents;
  • Ongoing support of students’ learning through Zoom-based TA hours & email correspondence;
  • Prep & present guest lecture topic of interest. support grading of student assignments, course materials prep, etc.

Qualifications

  • Third or fourth year student with an interest and experience with assessment who is detail-oriented and communicative, and can work efficiently to turn around corrections.
